Ottimizzare una scheda Amazon: checklist ed esempio

An Amazon listing can have a readable title and still leave basic questions unanswered: how large is it, what is included, and will it fit? Use this checklist to revise one listing from the product data through to the published page. The worked example shows exactly which words change and why.

Check the product data first

Save the current listing before editing. Match its model, colour and pack quantity to the product you actually sell. Then compare dimensions, materials and care instructions with the supplier’s documents. A polished sentence will not fix the wrong measurement.

Keep unanswered questions in a separate note. If the supplier has not confirmed dishwasher suitability, leave that claim out of the draft and ask for confirmation. The product data template gives you a place to record these gaps.

Work through the listing field by field

  • Title: can a buyer identify the product and selected variant without opening the page? Remove repeated search phrases and promotional wording. Check the current requirements for your category in Seller Central; our title guide explains the fields to review.
  • Bullet points: give each one a distinct job. Put dimensions where a buyer can find them, name the contents of the pack, and keep relevant limitations visible. See the bullet point guide for structure.
  • Description: answer the questions that need a little context, such as where the product fits or how to clean it. Avoid repeating every bullet word for word.
  • Images: compare the pictured colour, number of pieces and accessories with the selected variant. Make sure any dimensions shown in the images agree with the text.
  • Attributes: complete the relevant structured fields with the same values used in the description. Check variation labels and product identifiers against your records.
  • Search terms: use relevant alternative names for the actual product. Review them separately from the visible copy with the backend search terms guide.
  • Safety information: review the marketplace’s safety fields and the product documents. The GPSR guide covers information needed for online offers.

Before and after: a desk organiser

Demonstration only: Fjellmo and the product below are fictional. For this exercise, the product sheet specifies a black powder-coated steel desk organiser, three fixed compartments, external dimensions of 22 × 10 × 9 cm and four felt pads. One organiser is included; stationery is not. No sales or ranking results have been measured.

Before: title

After: title
Fjellmo Desk Organiser, 3 Compartments, Black
Before: feature
The perfect space-saving solution for all your office essentials.
After: feature
External dimensions: 22 × 10 × 9 cm (width × depth × height). Measure the space on your desk before ordering.
Before: description
Transform your workspace with this stylish, high-quality organiser.
After: description
This black steel organiser has three fixed compartments. It measures 22 cm wide, 10 cm deep and 9 cm high. Four felt pads sit underneath the base. The pack contains one organiser; stationery is not included.

The revision names the material, layout and contents. It also removes “for every desk”, which the dimensions cannot support. Four felt pads are a feature you can count. Whether they prevent scratches would need separate evidence.

This is an excerpt for reviewing copy, not a complete upload file. Add the required category attributes and safety information for your real product. A separate Amazon listing example shows how Nordova handles a fuller draft.

Read the page as a buyer

Open the preview on a phone. Look for the selected size, quantity and contents without zooming. If you have to hunt for a detail, move it earlier or give it a clearer label. Read the copy aloud once: repeated adjectives and long strings of search terms are easier to notice that way.

Run the text through the free listing check, then investigate each warning. A text check cannot verify the physical product or every field in Seller Central. After saving, open the public page and confirm that the intended changes appear.

Record the change before judging the result

Keep the previous copy, the revised copy and the date of publication. Note price changes, promotions and stock interruptions over the same period. They can affect the results you see.

Use comparable periods and record the available traffic and order figures. A few extra orders do not establish that the new text caused an improvement. If the product gets little traffic, buyer questions and recurring misunderstandings can still tell you which information needs work.
